Role Guidelines
The following are general guidelines for the appointment of members to the various roles within the organization. Our guiding philosophy is two‐fold:
- We seek to permit those interested in serving in any particular role the opportunity to do so at some point during the potential 5‐7 year period a child will be participating in the program
- We are trying to engineer the development of our volunteer pool to ensure the organization does not become too dependent on one single person in any specific role
ORVFC Role Appointment Guidelines
The Division President serves for a period of 3 years and is open to any person meeting the following requirements:
- ORVFC participant for 3 years
- Attained a Y‐License and E License from the USSF
- Approval by a simple majority of active members with a minimum vote of 50 according the same methodology as outlined in the QVRA by‐laws for the election of new Board of Director members
- Approval by the QVRA Board of Directors
It is the responsibility of the Division President to identify nominees to fill the following roles:
- Sub‐Committee Chair (2 year term)
- Grade Commissioner (1 year term)
- Coaching Coordinator (1 year term)
- Director of Coaching (3 year term)
- SLC Member (3 year term)
All persons serving in the role of Grade Commissioner and Coaching Coordinator have a term limit of 2 years for that role for a particular age group. Individuals are able to serve in other roles within the organization.
All appointments will be confirmed by the SLC annually; Failure to confirm an appointment requires that person not be able to serve in that role but does not preclude the individual in other roles.
