Feedback
This is probably the most important process for any youth organization. How do you provide feedback when you see something you don't understand or you just don't feel should be happening? Do you provide enough positive feedback when see something you feel is really positive? The issue with feedback is that it has the potential to escalate into more than just a discussion between two people. It might result in actions being taken by the club. Below is the process ORVFC will recommend all its participants follow when providing feedback.
Purpose for Process
- Document the process for how ORVFC manages participant feedback
- Create a clear mechanism for receiving and validating information about events or behaviors that have resulted in formal complaints by participants
- Define levels of response by the ORVFC organization and the appropriate steps of escalation
Background Information
All organization spectators, volunteers, officials and players (“participants”) that take part in ORVFC training and match activities are expected to adhere to the ORVFC Code of Conduct. However, this policy acknowledges that in the area of youth athletic development and competition, misunderstandings can lead to emotional responses and mistakes can be made. It is expected that in most situations, participants can deliver feedback amongst themselves to correct the behavior. However, there are certain situations that require the involvement of the ORVFC organization to determine whether stronger action is needed.
