Desired Long‐term Results

The following are key long-term results we hope to achieve by striving toward the goals listed above:

  • More players continue playing any sport, soccer or other, varsity or intramural, through the senior year of high school and beyond;
  • Attendance at training and competition events averages higher than 95%;
  • Competitive high school age soccer teams are consistently performing in the top 1/2 of
    divisional play year after year;
  • The club is considered the primary source for all soccer development in the community;
  • Players feel a sense of club pride and camaraderie with other players in the club;
  • Our players feel individually confident and focused when they train or compete.

We look to create strong, confident multi‐sport athletes that will play a sport (not necessarily just soccer) throughout their lifetime. We feel these results are tangible measures we can use to determine whether the club is successful over the long term.

Certain metrics tell us certain things

For example, high attendance can mean that players and parents are showing up because they prioritize these events as important and they don’t want to miss them.

The more children that play sports at a recreational or more competitive level indicates that the skills we are building are encouraging kids to stay with some sort of athletic activity.

Winning high school teams can prove that we are building a feeder system the produces winning teams in later years that are not dependent on one individual or the luck of the draw any given year. We consistently generate competent soccer players because our development model is a successful one.

When the club assumes the role as the primary source of soccer development in our community, the players and families will feel a certain connection and camaraderie with the club.

If players feel confident and focused when they train or compete, they will become sought after team members.
