Our Volunteers

“Many Hands Make Light Work”

We are a volunteer-based organization. Occasionally we hire contractors to perform certain functions within the organization but for the most part our volunteers execute the day to day work of the organization.  The only pre-requisite for volunteering is a sincere interest to help the community and our kids.  You do not need to know how to play soccer to help.

We follow a "work breakdown" methodology where we break all the larger responsibilities into a series of smaller tasks.  In this way we can map whatever time and skill you have to give to a specific task.  If you can give us two hours per month and no more - that is great!  We will use that time.  If you can only work late at night after the kids have gone to bed - that is great!  We will use that time.

Each group of tasks is managed by a committee with a chairperson. You can volunteer to be a member of a committee or to be a chairperson. Each committee meets on its own schedule and focuses on identifying what needs to be accomplished, who can take ownership for the work and what the club needs to provide to help get the work done in a timely fashion.

Our primary goal each season is twofold:  (1) Identify enough volunteers to serve in Lead and Assistant Coachings and (2) Identify 5-7 volunteers from each age group to serve on the various committees.  In this way we insure that we have some continuity season to season as new volunteers join to replace those who move on.
